Sarah Morris is a Legacy and Estate Planning Attorney, specializing in wills, trusts, and philanthropy. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a law degree focused on estate planning, tax law, and tax-exempt entities. Her experience ranges from nonprofit entity formation, disposition, and governance, to major gifts, planned giving, and the related tax consequences, and over a decade of estate planning, federal gift and estate tax planning, and trust and estate administration. Drawing from her expertise in charitable work and her career across a variety of organizations, Sarah brings a unique perspective to her work crafting roadmaps to protect the ones we hold dear.

Sarah was born and raised in Colorado, and beyond her legal practice, she enjoys embracing all that this beautiful state has to offer. Sarah finds joy in carving fresh powder, experiencing live music, and especially her culinary adventures and travel. She is active as a member, volunteer, and advisor for various community-building organizations working on behalf of future generations and lives in Park Hill with her wife, their two daughters, and labradoodle. Sarah is a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and granddaughter. Family means the world to Sarah, so she understands the last thing anyone wants to think about is possible harm or facing unexpected challenges. Sarah collaborates with clients to proactively navigate life’s transitions and daunting conversations around death, fueled by her deep appreciation of family and community, in all shapes and forms, and the legacies we leave behind.

Sarah joined Life & Legacy Planning, Ltd. in March 2021 as a contract attorney while also maintaining her own solo practice independently from our firm. She has been a valuable asset to our firm since her first day and we are grateful to have her as part of our team!
